April 6 at the annual Educators Rising event at ULM, Shelby Nicholson, a Senior of the Class of 2023, signed her intention to enter college in the fall with a major in Elementary Education. Shelby is in the Pre-Educator Pathway dual enrollment course with Ms. Hattaway this year, one of five students in the first-year cohort, all of whom have expressed interest in either teaching or being part of the educational field in some capacity.
Shelby has considered both English Education and Elementary Education, but ultimately, her heart has settled on the elementary level, as she truly enjoys working with young children. Shelby would like to thank all who have supported her through this long journey. The future is bright as she transitions from a Hornet to a Warhawk.
