He is a student of Jennifer Hoychick, one of the Gifted and Talented Art teachers in Richland Parish. The theme of the contest was \u201cCreativity Meets Advocacy: A Tribute to Disability Advocates\u201d. Jamal chose Stevie Wonder for his role as an advocate for people with disabilities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/richland.k12.la.us\/sped\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/download.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-271\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Jamal will be honored during the Inclusive Art Awards Program in December at the Old State Capitol Building by Governor Landry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<em>He is not only one of the most talented students I\u2019ve had the privilege to work with, but he is extremely kind and respectful.
