Education Advisory Council<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What Is the Special Education Advisory Council?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) is a group of parents, educators, and community members who work together to improve special education services in our district. The council gives feedback to the superintendent, reviews data, and helps build strong communication between families and schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Who Can Join?<\/strong><br><\/strong>We welcome applications from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Parents or guardians of students with disabilities (these make up at least half of the council)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teachers, principals, paraprofessionals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community members who support students with disabilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parents from all grade levels\u2014elementary, middle, and high school\u2014are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>What Does the Council Do?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meets <strong>three times a year<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviews special education programs, data, and services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shares ideas and recommendations with the district<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Helps increase community awareness and support for special education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Why Join?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a great way to make your voice heard, support your child, and help strengthen special education across the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1IhOKnsRsWJBm1eVbAkSTpC_rq9gBl53Y\/view?usp=sharing\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1IhOKnsRsWJBm1eVbAkSTpC_rq9gBl53Y\/view?usp=sharing\">Application for Advisory Council<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Families are essential partners in special education. here you will find helpful information, guides, and tools to support you in understanding and advocating for your child&#8217;s special education needs.
