This community has shaped who I am as an educator and a leader, and I am deeply committed to ensuring that every student grows, every teacher leads, every family is valued, and every child believes in their ability to succeed.”

Dear Rayville Elementary School Families, Students, Staff, and Community,

Welcome to Rayville Elementary School. It is with tremendous pride, gratitude, and excitement that I introduce myself as the principal of RES for the 2026-2027 school year.

For me, this opportunity is more than a new position—it is a homecoming.

My educational journey in Richland Parish began right here at Rayville Elementary School in 2008, where I served as a special education paraprofessional. It was within these halls that I first discovered my passion for education and my deep love for serving children and families. Since that time, I have had the privilege of serving our district as a special education teacher, assistant principal, principal of Rayville Junior High School, and adjunct professor. Each role has shaped me as an educator and a leader, but returning to Rayville Elementary feels especially meaningful because it is where my journey began.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with students and families throughout our community, and one thing has always remained true: the people of Rayville care deeply about their children and their schools. I am honored to continue serving a community that I love and believe in so strongly.

At Rayville Elementary, we believe that every child deserves to be known, supported, challenged, and celebrated. We are committed to creating a school where every student grows academically, socially, and emotionally; every teacher is empowered to lead; and every child believes in their ability to succeed. We know that meaningful growth happens when schools and families work together with a shared purpose and high expectations.

Our theme this year, “We Rise Together,” represents our commitment to one another. It means that we celebrate successes together, overcome challenges together, and work every day to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive. It reflects our belief that when educators, families, students, and our community unite around a common vision, extraordinary things are possible.

As we begin this new chapter together, I want every family to know that you are an essential part of our school community. I value your partnership, your trust, and your voice. I look forward to building strong relationships with each of you as we work together to provide the very best educational experience for every child at Rayville Elementary.

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving your children. I am excited for all that lies ahead and confident that together, we will build a school culture defined by growth, excellence, belonging, and hope.

Welcome to Rayville Elementary School—where we learn together, lead together, and rise together.

With gratitude and excitement,

Amanda Stein
Principal
Rayville Elementary School

Mrs. Amanda Steinastein@richland.k12.la.us A Message from the Principal “Returning to Rayville Elementary School, where my educational journey began in 2008, is both a professional honor and a personal homecoming.
