Mangham High School hosts 4-5 blood drives a year with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifeshare.org\/\">Lifeshare Blood Center<\/a>. They send mobile units that parks outside the school. \u00a0Students sign up and register for blood drives online each time they wish to donate.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/donor.lifeshare.org\/donor\/schedules\/zip\">Schedule a Blood Donation<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Height\/Weight Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Males must at least be 4&#8217;10&#8221; tall and weigh at least 111 lbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Females: If you weigh at least 110 lbs but are shorter than 5&#8217;5&#8243;, please refer to this chart:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Females who are:<\/td><td>4&#8217;10&#8221;<\/td><td>4&#8217;11&#8221;<\/td><td>5&#8242;<\/td><td>5&#8217;1<\/td><td>5&#8217;2&#8243;<\/td><td>5&#8217;3&#8243;<\/td><td>5&#8217;4&#8243;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Must weigh @ least<\/td><td>139<\/td><td>135<\/td><td>131<\/td><td>126<\/td><td>122<\/td><td>117<\/td><td>113<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On the day of donation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16 year olds must turn in a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/userfiles-secure.educatorpages.com\/userfiles\/ManghamHSChristiBryan\/BloodDrive\/Permission%20Slip%208-19.pdf\">Minor Donor Permit form<\/a>&nbsp;signed by their parent and bring a picture ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>17+ year olds must have their picture ID.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone is encouraged to eat breakfast and lunch the day of donation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, those who have a history of anemia should prepare by taking supplements or eating an iron enriched diet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Honor Cords Opportunity<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All graduates who have donated blood&nbsp;<strong>six<\/strong>&nbsp;times during their high school career will receive red\/green honor cords to wear at the graduation ceremony.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BLOOD DRIVE DATES: Students should make sure they are eating their daily requirement of iron well before you donate blood.\u00a0 You should also eat before and after you donate.
