STUDENT COMPLAINTS AND GRIEVANCES

Students have both the right and the responsibility to express school related concerns and grievances to the administration.  For the initial discussion and consideration of a problem or concern:

1. Such problems or concerns should be addressed through committees established by the student council or through direct communication with a staff member;
    

2. Only issues of utmost concern should be brought before a student/faculty committee for review and disposition;
    

3. Only unresolved issues of major importance should be appealed to the school administration for consideration and action.

One faculty member of the student's choice may be present at such meetings.  The meeting will be held within ten (10) school/working days.

Grievances of students should be handled expeditiously and under proper procedures.  Any student grievance shall follow the same procedures as outlined for Board employees in policy GAE, Non-Title IX Complaints and Grievances.
