SCHOOL CALENDAR

The school calendar for the school year shall be prepared by the Superintendent and presented for Richland Parish School Board approval at the regular April meeting.

The calendar shall set forth the days schools shall be in session, holidays, and vacation periods, in-service days, parent teacher conference days, and days marking the beginning and end of reporting periods at elementary and secondary levels.

General election day shall be designated as a holiday every four (4) years for the presidential election.  The first Tuesday after the first Monday in November in even-numbered years where the parish governing body has established a polling place at a public school shall also be designated as a holiday.
